How to connect to Internet using Mozilla/static IP
I just installed 64-bit CentOS 4.5 on an AMD64 box and tried to connect to Internet using my existing Cable Ethernet connections but its not working. The browser is Mozilla Firefox. My environment is non-DHCP, Static IP and there is no Fire Wall. The port eth0 is up & working. If I connect the same lines to my Windows XP machine, there is no problem. I have a believe I am missing some Network configuration but not sure what that may be. Can you please tell where should I look for? This is a very rudimentary test environment at this point & security etc. isn't a concern at all. Thanks for your help

Usually cable internet providers use your LAN card MAC address as authentication token.
Check with your ISP...if this is the case they will give instructions.
