PCI Ethernet Card that works with CentOS 4.4 ?

Post by jimbo » 2007/03/10 15:43:18

1)
Can anyone tell me a pci ethernet card that works with CentOS 4.4 ?
I've been researchung for 3 days. Iv'e tried two already (linksys and Dlink)
that don't work (kernel 2.6)

2)
and, if you know of one, an "out of box" pci wireless card ?

3)
does orinoco classic gold (pc card) for sure work with CentOS 4.4 "out of box"?

Thanks
Jimbo

Placing this exact same query in three different CentOS forums in not a good idea. Asking for private responses is in bad/poor taste.

I for one will no long provide help to you because of these two questionable choices made.

Lenard, my goodness ! :-(

Give someone a chance to learn.

It's not a gut-wrenching, earth shattering event.

True it is not a gut-wrenching, earth shattering event. However, you choose post the exact same query with the exact same title three times in five minutes:

PCI Ethernet Card that works with CentOS 4.4 ?

Lenard’s response seems fair to me.

If you act like a schmuck, then you should expect to be treated like one.

It is always a bad idea to defecate in the pond from which you intend to drink.

Clever move. You have manage to alienate most of the people who are the most helpful and most knowledgeable on this board.

Maybe you should practice shooting the other foot for a while.

When I'm not working and in my spare time I do review this and the linuxquestions forums. When I'm working I make around $75.00 USD (after taxes) an hour, normally I get in 10-15 hours a week but I have been known to work 60 hours in a week. You do the math.
