Centos4 is installed on my dell optiplex 990, whose graphic card is hd 2000.
I downloaded the driver from intel, but it seems only to support the kernel with higher version than centos4.
When I configure xf86-intel-video, xorg-server >= 1.6 is needed. But no xorg-server >= 1.6 found for centos4.
How can I get a xorg-server version >= 1.6?
Any suggestion on install intel hd 2000 graphic driver on centos4?
Thanks.

Support for the embedded video in the newer Sandy Bridge processors has only been added to RHEL 6.1 so your chances of this ever appearing in CentOS 4 are vanishingly small. Your choices are to upgrade your o/s or to install a separate video card.
Re: intel i7 hd2000 graphic driver for centos4
It still doesn't support centos5?
I need to install EDA tools and they only support 4 & 5, not 6.
The problem now on my centos4 machine is resolution. It's only 800x600.
