Problem with NIC on CentOS 4.8

Hi
We are facing problem in network connectivity
Symptoms /Observations
1. My server goes out of network reach even though IP's were present on server.
2. After restarting network service it comes up again and works fine for next 2-3 days.


I am having centOS 4.8
details for kernel are as below
Linux caremps 2.6.9-89.ELsmp #1 SMP Mon Jun 22 12:31:33 EDT 2009 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

we are having NIC :- Broadcom Corporation NetXtreme II BCM57711E 10Gigabit PCIe
and server Model is :- HP BL 460

About all I can see it that you are overdue for an update. That is an original 4.8 kernel and there have been a [b]lot[/b] of security and bug-fix patches since it was issued. Try updating. If the problem persists, then please provide the output file from [b]./getinfo.sh driver[/b] as explained in the 4th link above.
