installing driver disk for LSI SAS 1064 raid - CentOS 4.2

Post by dweck » 2007/09/30 06:29:43

Hi,
I have an IBM x3250 machine I would like to install CentOS 4.2 (kernel 2.6.9-22) on it. I added a LSI SAS 1064E raid controller. Downloaded the driver from IBM and tried to install it by using "linux dd updates", seems like the anaconda can't find the driver. Someone told me to change all the i686 in the modules.cfg file to i586. it did help the anaconda, but first boot freeze just before it starts all the services. Any one knows how to fix it?

It works.
We accidentally mounted the floppy before we used the dd. Doing it in the correct order fixed the problem.
Nir.
