Hello all, new to CentOS, have not installed it yet. I am in the process of researching the product.
How do good is centos with laptop hardware?
are system command same as rh or fedora core commands.

example

FC
system-config-security
RH
redhat-config-security

what naming conventions does centos use?

are all gui-configuration tools the same? I read some of the general faqs- Says the only thing changed is the removal of RH name and logos. I imagine everything else is the same, is this so?

Finally, How active is the centos community? Large community? small?

thank you all who answer.

:-D

Its as good as RHEL4! It works fine on my laptop (a tabletpc - TC1100). Usual rules apply though - any hardware less than 6 months old with special features may not work out of the box.
