DHCP 3.0.1-65 Update?

Anybody have any idea when the update addressed in RHSA-2009:1136-1 (https://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2009-1136.html) will be pushed out for CentOS 4? I know there's always a delay between updates pushed out for RHEL and CentOS (and quite understandably so), but it's been about a week and I'm just curious if anyone has heard anything regarding this update. Thanks!

Currently all CentOS-4 updates are on hold until CentOS-4.8 gets released. Please see:

Here are some words from Karanbir Singh (CentOS developer) on the mailing list:

Yikes. So based on that mailing list post, CentOS 4.8 is expected to be released in a week then?

Are there any official recommendations as to how to address crucial security issues (i.e. http://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2009-0692) up until that point?

As you saw in that mailing list thread, CentOS devs are thinking of releasing updates ahead of point releases. You might want to add your voice there (nicely). :-) Hearing requests from more users might help it move forward.

Another thing you could do is to build binaries yourself from the source rpm available from Red Hat. If you'd like, I can offer what I've built. They are not official CentOS packages though.
