vncserver GConf Error NFS Stale

Post by tosehee » 2008/12/03 22:42:33

I have some interesting issues for you.

I have several severs that are using the ldap for single sign on and I also have setup the NFS /home for these servers, so I can share the home across the servers regardless of where I log from.

Now, the interesting part is the error that I get with the vncserver.

When I start up the vncserver and try to connect it using vncviewer, I get #*# loads of errors as the screen shot shows.

Anyone has this type of environment and fixed the problem?

Oh sux. can't upload the .PNG files..

Simply put, it complains that the GConf has some permission error. Also, looking at the /var/log/message, it displays this.

Dec 3 17:41:22 app06 gconfd (sehee-30269): Failed to get lock for daemon, exiting: Directory /tmp/gconfd-sehee has a problem, gconfd can't use it
