Apache2 UserDir Activation (SELINUX)

Post by javaguy » 2005/03/18 19:26:19

Hello,
After installing CentOS 4, I immediately enabled the UserDir = public_html for apache. Of course I get the Forbidden (You don't have permission ...) error. What do I need to do to allow individual users to have their own web site?

Thank You

Doug

Apache2 UserDir Activation (SELINUX)

Enabling UserDir under SELinux is covered in the version 4 release notes -- I knew I'd read it somewhere but couldn't find it again, so apologies for the delay.

Basically you use these commands:

chcon -R -h -t httpd_sys_content_t public_html
chcon -t httpd_sys_content_t public_html/index.html
