If it doesn't fit in another category, ask it here.

The other alternative would be to put aside whatever sum of money you would like to donate -- until such time as monetary donations can be accepted once again.

Those of us who are accustomed with the CentOS project instinctively know that things move very slowly in CentOS-devs land.

Ok, $100 is dog eared for CentOS. Now if our office door chime rings with someone saying they are from CentOS asking for beer money then I reserve the right to settle the debt with whoever knocks first.

I'll post back to let you know how the migration goes.

Thanks,

For RHEL5 64bit to CentOS 64bit:

# cp /etc/redhat-release /etc/redhat-release-saved

# rpm -e --nodeps redhat-release-notes redhat-release yum-rhn-plugin redhat-logos

#rpm -ivh \
http://mirror.centos.org/centos/5/os/x86_64/CentOS/centos-release-5-5.el5.centos.x86_64.rpm \
http://mirror.centos.org/centos/5/os/x86_64/CentOS/centos-release-notes-5.5-0.x86_64.rpm \
http://mirror.centos.org/centos/5/os/x86_64/CentOS/redhat-logos-4.9.99-11.el5.centos.noarch.rpm

Before doing a "yum install" I suggest installing the "fastest mirror" plugin first because the default mirror I was given was *very* slow...

# yum install yum-fastestmirror

Then do a full:

# yum update

I still have that $$ earmarked to the CentOS team...

I still have the $100 earmarked to the CentOS team. No beer events in Los Angeles yet but offer still stands.

There are CentOS branded T-Shirts available here which require only postage costs but have a helpful button underneath to add a donation to the project...
