Problems on Oracle RAC on VMware

Post by oraclejet » 2010/09/02 18:25:24

Hi

I have installed Oracle RAC database on CentOS using this guide. I have used CentOS 5.

http://www.idevelopment.info/data/Oracle/DBA_tips/VMware_Workstation_50/VMWARE_31.shtml

The installation went successfully. I had completed all the steps. The database was also working fine.

But after this, I restarted the VMWare machines. Now I get a strange kind of screen, Nothing works as it should.

I tried to attach the screenshot of that strange view. But can't.

I will try to explain this. It shows entirely different , abnormal screen. And it only shows, "bash id : command not found" message.

I have made no changes regarding the configuration.

Can anyone tell me why this is happening ? And how to resolve this issue ?

Not enough information to guess what your problem may be, but I note that the article references very obsolete versions of both VMware Workstation and CentOS.

The problem with the screen shot is that the forum attachment function is permanently broken. Most people post graphics somewhere public and provide a link when required.

Please review the recommended reading, and perhaps the last link in my signature, and retry your question.
