ISCSI issues...

Post by sms552 » 2010/03/23 19:19:28

i have a dell poweredge 2970 with centos 5.4 64 bit installed and i have a promise vessRaid 1840i. i turned chap off and set the initiator and ran a discovery on the ip. then i logged into the device and it shows successful.. when i run fdisk -l it doesnt not show in in the results. i checked var/log/messages and it shows that it connected but it doesnt issue a dev name to the device. i have uninstalled the iscsi utils and deleted the files associated and reinstalled but i always get to this point.. the webpam shows the server is connected and everything is functioning normally. any help would be appriciated.

Do you have any other SCSI devices on the server? Had a similar issue on a dell 2650, I couldn't see more than 4 scsi devices.
