Laptop thinks it's always on mains power

Post by timov » 2008/05/20 14:16:38

I'm running CentOS 5.1 x86_64 (with a Xen kernel) on my Lenovo T61. After the initial install things where working swimmingly.

Since then I've been trying to get WiFi to work, and somewhere along the way my attempts seem to have interfered with CentOS' abillity to see if the laptop is on mains power or on battery. Bit of a pain as I have no clue how long I have left on a battery.

Anything I installed to try and get the WiFi to work I have removed, but still I'm faced with the always on mains issue.

Not sure where to look to sort this. The ACPI services are started normally.

Can anyone point me i n the right direction?
