Hello,

How do I run a command on server boot?
memcached -u nobody -d -m 256 -l 127.0.0.1 -p 11211
You might be able to do as you require by putting that command line into the /etc/rc.d/rc.local file.

You will need to take care of any output written to stdout and stderr by that command.

just create a cron job, usual directory /var/spool/cron

the easyest way is to install a CP i have installed webmin then you just select "Scheduled Cron Jobs" and add the command and repeat times

or an init tab for bootup only, usual directory /etc/inittab

these sevices can be restarted with the init.d restart command

once again easyest way is to install a CP through webmin select "Initial System Bootup" and "create new init process"
