Cannot yum install

Post by erikhes » 2008/06/13 13:26:28

Hello,

I want to compile PHP with the IMAP module. If I start with "yum install php-imap" I get the following errror at the end:

-----------------------------------------------
...
Finished
Parsing package install arguments
No Match for argument: php-imap
Nothing to do
-----------------------------------------------

See the attachment for a screenshot of the whole result.

What means this? Do you need another install command?

Kind regards, Erik

Output yum list php-imap:

Setting up repositories
update 100% |===================| 951 B 00:00
base 100% |===================| 1.1 kB 00:00
addons 100% |===================| 951 B 00:00
extras 100% |===================| 1.1 kB B 00:00
Reading repository metadata in from local files
primary.xml.gz 100% |===================| 167 kB B 00:00
sqlite cache needs updating, redaing in metadata
update : ##################### 527/527
Excluding Pacakeges in global exclude list
Finished

And the complete output of yum install php-imap is:

Setting up Install Process
Setting up repositories
Reading repository metadata in from local files
Excluding Pacakeges in global exclude list
Finished
Parsing package install arguments
No Match for argument: php-imap
Nothing to do

Just to get a "sane" start on this odd issue, first, run
grep "^exc" /etc/yum.conf
. Then please run (as root)
yum clean all
followed by
yum install php-imap
Provide *all* the output of the commands, please.
