Change time that daily cron jobs run

Post by natediggs » 2009/11/02 17:23:23

Hello Everyone --

I have a server running an email client and I want to backup the mailboxes every night. I have a script that I run daily that backs up the mailboxes and then one that performs the backup to off site storage. I want the jobs to run during the middle of the night when access to the box is at it's low point.

I placed the scripts into the cron.daily directory but it keeps running them around 9:00AM. It slows down the box significantly. Where do I go to change the time that the daily cron jobs run?

Thanks!

Nate

/etc/cron.daily usually runs at 04:00 not 09:00. Are you sure that your timezone is correct?
