Has anyone successfully installed Mysql 5.6 on Centos 5.9 - I'd really like to upgrade to Mysql 5.6 is possible.
any help would be appreciated

With the release of 5.10 mysql got updated to 5.5. Is that current enough?
If not, mysql does provide RPMs for EL5 themself here

thanks - I kind of figured that out. This is a kind of test platform for me so I'mj going to take a swipe at updating the server tonight from centos 5.9 to centos 6.5 and then install that newest mysql.

I see 5.0.95 for mysql and 5.1.70 for mysql51 and 5.5.32 for mysql55.
