Centos 5 and RealVNC

Post by rhap4boy » 2007/05/12 18:16:08

I have installed CentOS 5 and Realvnc free edition. How do I automatically start VNC server everytime I boot so I that can view the console remotely? Why does sometimes CentOS 5 starts in text mode and I need to hit alt-F7 to switch to GUI?

You do realize that CentOS already has a 'free' version of vnc (vnc and vnc-server), but to answer your question follow the guide found here:

Absolubility no idea, I'm not a physic and my crystal ball is broken :)

How about providing some information about your hardware??? The typed command /sbin/lspci -v

Have a look at your /var/log/messages file also

But as a wild stab in the dark try: chkconfig --levels 345 kudzu off
