Instalação do CentOS 6

I did the entire installation of CentOS 6 on the server Proliant DL360 G4, without problems, step by step, created partitions, installed all the software, in the end asks to reboot, and after rebooting, gets the screen all black. Don't ask me for root login / password. What may have gone wrong on reboot?

Why? Much better to install CentOS 7 (or even wait a week for CentOS 8) and then install a CentOS 6 VM if you really need CentOS 6.

Proliant G4 is old enough so that any RAID controller present will be unsupported by 7 or 8.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
