iscsi commands

Hello,

we have setup a new iscsi network with a centos iscsi target server and a centos iscsi initiator server.

So far everything seems ok, but I wonder what is the proper way to shutdown the iscsi initiator server, before do some maintenance work.

Do I have to issue the poweroff command, or do I have to logout from the iscsi using the isciadm utilities first ? In the past, issue the reboot commands produces fsck errors.
I search google, manuals etc, but I can not find clearly commands and instructions
