[SOLVED] pdf2swf and libjpeg.so.8 problem

Post by orlinsky » 2015/05/11 13:38:55

Hi, I have a problem with the PDF2SWF, after install swftools and libjpeg-turbo-devel, I can not use pdf2swf i see error:
pdf2swf: error while loading shared libraries: libjpeg.so.8: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Any suggestion how install the libjpeg.so.8 library on 64 Bit CentOS 6.6 ?

That doesn't look like it's from a CentOS 6 package. Perhaps you need a different pdf2swf package built against the CentOS 6 libraries. I don't see the package at all in any of my configured repos.

If your existing copy came from rpmforge then you should know that that repo has been effectively abandoned for about 3 years now and no updates have been released for the packages in it.
CentOS 6 will die in November 2020 - migrate sooner rather than later!
CentOS 5 has been EOL for nearly 3 years and should no longer be used for anything!
