Kernel Panic CentOS 6.9
Kernel Panic CentOS 6.9
I know CentOS6 is an old version but I want to use it burning an iso image on a pendrive using the LiveDVD 64 bit. I boot from the BIOS menu. I get the grub menu, let CentOS boot and I get this spinning wheel for a while and then this pops up. I’ve tried to get rid of quiet in kernel line but it doesn’t work any help?
Re: Kernel Panic CentOS 6.9
For a live version you would be better off with any supported version and using the "Rescue" option off the initial "Troubleshooting" menu. That gives you access to a root command prompt with your system mounted under /mnt/sysimage and can chroot into it if needed.
CentOS 6 isn't supported any more. Well, in fact, no version of CentOS is supported any more...

The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

You should select Troubleshooting from the first menu. Off that it has one for "Rescue".
