Issue to xfsprogs

Post by HuaMin » 2019/10/03 07:48:47

Dear all,
Any help to this, in Red hat?
[root@myhp ~]# yum install xfsprogs xfsdump
Loaded plugins: rhnplugin, security
This system is not registered with ULN.
You can use up2date --register to register.
ULN support will be disabled.
Setting up Install Process
No package xfsprogs available.
No package xfsdump available.
Nothing to do
[root@myhp ~]#

That's an Oracle Linux system so you need to ask them for help.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
Info for USB installs on http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/InstallFromUSBkey
CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.

Did you run what the message told you to run?

Code: Select all

up2date --register
Neither RHEL or OEL are CentOS, FYI, so why post here? There is overlap, sure, but that message isn't anything that centos has.
