Post by isbban@gmail.com » 2018/10/26 13:04:59

Hello sir
I worked on the dns in centos 6 after installation and configuration. But my problem is:
with my dns I can access the different whose domain names are .com
eg facebook.com, gmail.com, africaguine.com
and on the contrary all the sites whose domains are .org, .info and .net I can not accede
example: mediaguinee.com, centos.org; guineeinfo.info etc ......
it sends unreachable site (name resolution problem)

please you can tell me why this problem your assistance

Without more detail about what you did it's not easy to tell. I'd suspect that your list of root servers is incorrect or out of date.

in fact I set up a dns with a public ip address and I want our clients to use my dns instead of google which is (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) or for Quad9 (9.9.9.9) or opensdns (208.67.222.222 ). I want to use our dns.
After installation and configuration all sites whose domains are in .com is accessible both disk domains with .org, info and net are inaccessible see the message error

You want to put up a publicly accessible DNS server with full recursion of all domain?

Don't do that. It will be discovered and used for malicious purposes.

I personally will not give you any help, because what you are trying to do will create a huge target.

how does it target me i just want to set up our dns instead of using for google and i want to set up our own dns sever
and the server dns that I install I do not resolve all sites only domains with .com that works example; facebook.com, google.com
so why other sites whose domains are in .org, .info and others do not work?

Did you check your root server list yet? I'm not commenting on the security ramifications of what you're doing.
