Where to find mpd?

Post by andrkac » 2016/10/16 23:07:59

I'm pretty new in centos/rh, just switched from debian.

I'm migrating my home server to centos 6.7 (the same version is used by my company, so this is ok for me) and I'm stuck. Is there mpd for centos 6.7?
Some help on mpd site points to repoforge, which is dead.

There are really no offical or even unofficial package of mpd for CentOS 6.7?

I just looked and mpd is in the nux-dextop repos for both CentOS 6 and 7. On el6 it's 0.17.3-2.el6.nux and el7 it's 0.19.9-1.el7.nux
CentOS 8 died a premature death at the end of 2021 - migrate to Rocky/Alma/OEL/Springdale ASAP.

CentOS 5 and 6 are dead, do not use them.
