LiveCD kernel panic

Post by IanWorthington » 2014/04/08 19:30:24

I'm getting Kernel panics attempting to boot both the 6.5 LiveCD and LiveDVD on a Supermicro x10sl7 mobo with Haswell Xeon installed, screen capture attached.

The normal install works just fine.

Any workarounds?

That looks like the sort of panic you get when it's unable to find its own root filesystem. I'd check that there are no options relating to how the CD/DVD is presented to the system and/or check that the disc itself is correct.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
