Another win for CentOS for me

just thought I'd drop a line.

I am the IT admin for a local school and we had about 40 Dell workstations donated from a local telemarketing company. These came with blanked hd's and no cd drives.

I am having to re install on to these machines and after going through about 5 other distros, which these machines just have trouble with. Debian based distros just don't want to boot with a fight, others will boot then fail anywhere between partitioning the hd to loading the desktop.

I finally dug out my Cent 5.0 DVD and gave that a whirl, it installed without a single problem. The way an install should be.

so after doing a very slow upgrade to 5.4 on the test machine, I am going to download the 5.4 dvd and use that for a network install base.

Great work to all the CentOS folks.
