Hi
I am still running CENTOS5, the websites on my server run fine. But made a security check lately and it scared me.
I'm more of a "if its not broken don't fix it" type of person.
I know it's not possible to move from CENTOS5 to 6 nor 7, neither Almalinux, Rocky linux or any other system. Wondering if an older version of FEDORA would work , and then moving up? I really don't want to migrate and have down times. Worried of consequences.
Thanks
MOVING FROM CENTOS5
Re: MOVING FROM CENTOS5
You cannot migrate to anything but you can set up a new system and move your applications onto it one by one.
CentOS 8 died a premature death at the end of 2021 - migrate to Rocky/Alma/OEL/Springdale ASAP.
