Guess I'm upgrading an existing system with some 660+packages being replaced.

Hey Glenn, I didn't realize you were here.

Despite trying to keep my CentOS system small, it's around 450 packages for me. Oh well, First World Problem. :)

Just ran the upgrade, and it ran quite smoothly. I forget how many packages were actually upgrade, it was in the 400's I think, but there were no problems, everything is working afterwards.

Just upgraded a server from 8.2 to 8.3:

Install 7 Packages
Upgrade 224 Packages
Remove 3 Packages

No problems so far...

Well, 10+ servers into the upgrade to 8.3 and one of them failed... with an old nftables bug that I was hoping was fixed but apparently its not...

Overlapping IP ranges in ipsets cause firewalld to die a horrible and fiery death into the abyss of the 7th hell of /dev/null...

One other server reported an error but it did not seem to have any real effect, booted up and working fine:

Code: Select all

grub2-set-bootflag[1627]: Error reading from /boot/grub2/grubenv: Success
systemd[853]: grub-boot-success.service: Main process exited, code=exited, status=1/FAILURE
systemd[853]: grub-boot-success.service: Failed with result 'exit-code'.
systemd[853]: Failed to start Mark boot as successful.
