Good Morning
Hey,
Introducing myself here (couldn't find none of the usual Introductory forums), I'm David, a developer from Sheffield, UK. I am currently not using CentOS but will be this afternoon - throwing it on my work comp. Will post my experiences and share views with the community.
I've been a Linux user for years using RHEL and Zenwalk, so I'm fairly familiar with things.
I guess one of the main topics that I wanted to talk about on here will be using MS Active Directory/LDAP for gnome login.
Cheers,
David

Good Morning

Please feel free to get involved, share experiences, seek help or just offer a point of view.

Re: Good Mooning
Hi David, welcome to CentOS.
Thanks for that Good Mooning (sic)! I haven't been mooned at for a very long time. You're not related to Bart Simpson, by any chance? ;-)
I hope that CentOS will serve your computing needs well and that you will have no problems in finding your feet.
Perhaps you would like to make a mention, in your profile, that you are located in the UK's steel city -- by doing that the From box, by your forum posts, will not be blank.

Typical moderator! Spends so much time in bed that he doesn't realise the world continues to revolve without his interaction.
Evidence. I made a call to a certain telephone number at gone 1100 hours, local time. Mrs Slider answered my call and said that someone was still in bed . . . :-o

If that truly was the case, then you have just implied that toracat must have been skiving (UK) / slacking (US) on that day!
In place of the fresh salmon & single cream someone's rations will have to be reduced to cat biscuits & water.
Now do you see what you've done Ned?

Re: Good Morning
Thanks all, and no I'm not a Simpson, I commonly greet people with "Good Mooning" as opposed to "Good Morning", some sort of childish humour i guess - helps keep up spirits!
I'm in the middle of an install of CentOS 5.2 - its 20:46, i'm in the office and 65 minutes left until I see a different dialog, thats 135/200 minutes elapsed... :-o
Fingers crossed I'll be set up ready for the morning!

In that case I sincerely apologise for the edit - my mistake for thinking it was a typo :-)
Hope you get the install finished by mooning :-D
