Unless that $4000 is "per seat and year", then it is still rather cheap on scale of commercial software packages.

What extra does one get with the money? Right to blame the vendor and some frustration, I suppose.

I did notice that prescient action back about post #2. :-D

Only one? You're not getting your money's worth! (But then IIRC you're Redmond-free.)

How about recursive bug-fix patches and repeated reboots every time there's a major round of updates?

I can see this was just too tempting a target for this crowd, present company included. ;-)

And after a dozen reply the OP (in this case Sonsee) is silent. Perhaps "certain moderator" moved the thread to Social without providing a back tracing link where it was at primitive age. :-(

Unfortunately our C&**$y forum software doesn't facilitate such luxuries :-(

Still, think of it as providing entertainment value trying to find where your thread was moved to :-D

You don't get headaches on the second Tuesday of every month when all your servers spontaneously reboot and half of them fail to boot back up, but you don't get a predictable patch cycle either, you get patches when they are needed.

You don't get to run everything with Admin privileges. You get to learn that security is not a product you can purchase from a 3rd party vendor like Symantec.

The OP should still get a notification, if they are savvy enough to either "Check Private Messages" or change the notification method. Many people never come back after their OP even if the thread was not moved.

Humm, looks like some people are (some aren't) unwary about their own problem.
May be back tracing link will be in the Website 2.

@Sonsee: you could easily donate the same amount of money here. 8-)

Except that according to the Donate link the core team is still working on how to handle donations. Maybe we need a Forum PayPal account. ;-)
