Re: Procmail for Postfix

I was hoping to use existing recipes I had from procmail. I will look at bogofilter, thanks. The link you provided has info on Raspberry Pi apps, I have 6 Pis and will spend time with those pages.

Procmail for Postfix

I ran procmail with sendmail for many years. Now I am running Postfix instead of sendmail having migrated from an old Red Hat (5 I think) server to CentOS 7. Procmail recipes helped me discard garbage e-mails but I haven't been able to get it working with Postfix. I'm need to analyze each e-mail com...

Re: vnc not reachable

I found out why vnc wouldn't load at port 5901, there were lock files in /tmp. I removed them, rebooted the server and now it's working. I still don't know how / why VNC was loading at port 5906.

Re: vnc not reachable

I had vncserver reachable at port 5901 until recently. Server rebooted due to power outage. Now vncserver will not load at port 5901, it's loading at 5906. There isn't a vncserver@:6.service anywhere on the server. How is it assigning port 5906 instead of 5901.

Re: Postfix looping

I modified the main.cf to receive mail for both rownetco.com and mail.rownetco.com and it appears to be working.

Re: Postfix looping

The old server is forever gone. It was failing and although in an enclosed air conditioned room sucked in lots of dust from the company that was letting me use one of their static IP addresses. The new machine is at 74.209.44.x. It's firewall has ports 25 and 110 open. It can receive incoming connec...

Re: Postfix looping

Yes this is the server with the problem. CentOS 7 everything install. Again, I'm new to Postfix, have been running Sendmail for 15+ years.

Re: Postfix looping

Yes, it is listening on the Ethernet interface, receives e-mail destined for my domain but then thinks it has to go out to internet, resolve my MX server on external DNS, then try to connect to the public IP that the server had received the original e-mail over. The server's hostname is mail.mydomai...

Postfix looping

Need some help here. I had a Red Hat Linux server I'd been running for 15 years I needed to replace. It was running sendmail for smtp and i believe pop3 also. I built a server on CentOS 7 but could not get Sendmail to work, all help responses said to go with Postfix so I did. I had the two running i...
