Luckly the system responds immediately when i hit enter to visit the next page. If not I cannot navigate the 200+ page file...

Re: Dual booting UBUNTU and CENTOS
mahmood: You mentioned slow boot of ubuntu. I had the experience that LinuxMint (Debian derived, same as ubuntu or MX Linux) that its /etc/fstab has a hardcoded SWAP UUID line. So when you install a new OS that reformats SWAP, you might incur TWO 90 secs in two places during booting. I wonder the sa...

Re: How to make firefox uses acroread to open an attached pdf file?

Seems like I have no choice but to stay with 2.6.32-754.el6.x86_64 until the computer die then (or something breaks..).. All other CentOS box with FF60+ is making me losing productivity. Web base dropbox not connecting...

which command will fail if pwd output is very long?
Curiously I found "which" command to fail in one occasion.. Decription: pwd command gives 277 characters (I tend to give a slightly long name for each directory and love to work with subdirectories to help me to navigate through trees, so far no major problem. Even my Fortran program has a default o...
