There is only one version. Whether it's a "desktop" or "server" depends on which packages you choose to install. However, CentOS 6 is end of life next year and contains a lot of very old package versions. You would be better using CentOS 7, which is supported until 2024, or CentOS 8, which has just ...

There is no RC, so all this is moot. Releasing an RC would require additional effort from the maintainers which is better spent actually working on the release, surely?

The rpm command installs the files needed to set up the CUDA repository for yum. The yum command installs CUDA from that repository.

The best idea would be to disable the built-in graphics in the BIOS and connect both monitors to the nVidia.

Your processor is 64-bit so install the standard 64-bit version. Your Windows version is irrelevant.

One option is just to disable firewalld and enable iptables, so you don't have to change anything.
