[SOLVED] nvidia nics missing with centos 7

I have a sun x2100 m2 server which has 4 network ports - 2 broadcom nics and 2 nvidia nics. Problem is when installing centos 7 on the server the nvidia nics are missing, only the broadcoms come up as available. This is weird because if I install centos 6 all 4 nics are present. I tried doing the fu...

google chrome 32 bit

is it still possible to install google chrome 32 bit on a centos 6 32 bit system today? After trawling google I see that chrome 32 bit was discontinued some time ago, and other third-party solutions only cater for 64 bit. Thanks for any help.

SOLVED: centos 7 shutdown will not poweroff

I must have had an error in either /boot/grub2/grub.cfg or /etc/default/grub. I connected a different hard drive, installed centos 7 new and took a copy of these two files, then copied them back to my previous centos 7 install and now it powers off correctly.

SOLVED: centos 7 shutdown will not poweroff

I have centos 7 running on a dell 9200 tower and the 'shutdown - h now command' does bot result in the machine powering off, which it should, instead it sits at 'System Halted'. After trawling google I edited /etc/systemd/logind.conf and uncommented HandlePowerKey but it made no difference. The mach...

Re: logwatch file contains hardly anything

thanks for your response, I had to run your command without the '--print | less', the server said it was 'unknown'. Here is the result I got however I don't know how to proceed from here to resolve this problem. export LOGWATCH_DATE_RANGE='yesterday' export LOGWATCH_GLOBAL_DETAIL='10' export LOGWATC...

logwatch file contains hardly anything

I've got logwatch-7.4.0-28.20130522svn140.el7.noarch running on a centos 7 server and the daily logwatch file only contains this: ################### Logwatch 7.4.0 (03/01/11) #################### Processing Initiated: Sat Oct 8 03:35:10 2016 Date Range Processed: yesterday ( 2016-Oct-07 ) Period is...

centos 6.8 text install only gives minimal

I'm doing a text-mode install of centos 6.8 and the install process doesn't install any nic or desktop. Is this by design or am I missing some importtant step?
