Re: Specific FTP access

Hi oliverhelm,

what you are looking for is called chroot (change root) for ftp-user. This means the user with ftp-access is set in a jail. You can find lots of HOWTOs with vsftp (very secure ftp). Hope this will help you.

Re: Adjust time in a virtual machine centos4

Hi
there are two ways to configure time in vmware. If you have time-sync with the host, time synchronisation with an ntp server will not work. Check the settings with the vmware-toolbox and disable time-sync with the host.

Re: eth0:1, eth0:2 doesn't get up at boot start

To get more IP for one Card you have to alias the eth0
I don`t know how to do this but if you google for alias you will get the right command.

or you simple copy the ifcfg file and rename call it ifcfg0:X (X=number you have to use, start with 1 and then go on)
ifcfg0:1, ifcfg0:2 and so on

Re: Setting the DHCPD.Conf

Hi, I think these two lines in your config are wrong: subnet 12.27.134.230 netmask 255.255.252.255 { option subnet-mask 255.255.252.255; I think it must be the 255.255.252.0 but check it with an IP-Calculator. With http://jodies.de/ipcalc and these settings: 12.27.134.230 /22 Address: 12.27.134.230 ...

Re: DNS Implementation

Hi, if you have to set up a second or even third dns-server depends on the number of users. If there are let´s say only 20 employees in the US, it would be enough to make a own subnet with an own zone file for them where the fqdn changes. But in general, I think it is always better to use one dns-se...

Hi

Try the graphics-controller that can be downloaded on the intel-web-site:

But be sure to take the one inclusive AGP-GARD and DRM kernel modules.
