Urgent help please

Is the system already on the network? Are they sending it to you or you grabbing it from them? Is the CenOS system in question directly accessible on the Internet?

[RESOLVED] Interface swap still in CentOS 5.3?

I'm runing CentOS 5.3 64-bit on a system with two onboard NIC and two external NICs. I'm seeing that interfaces are still being swapped around which I thought was resolved by the HWADDR variable in the interface config file. Here's the modprobe.conf file after installation: alias eth0 igb alias eth1...

Tomcat Help

Are you trying to use Tomcat by itself or use Tomcat in conjunction with Apache? Is Apache listening on 8080 or is it Tomcat?

Windows see 512GB of storage only

I have a Windows 2003 Enterprise Server (64-bit) running on a CentOS 5.2 64-bit Xen dom0. Using LVM as the backing store, I ceated a 2.5TB volume and allocated to Windows. LV Size 2.50 TB However, Windows only see 512 GB of the storage. I've tried adjusting the cluster size without much impact. Is t...

Re: xen on 5.2 32-bit poblematic

Turns out the problem is that this older hardware uses the 3w-xxxx driver. The 3w-xxxx driver that ships with CentOS 5.2 causes data corruption. While researching this problem on Google, other people seem to have this problem as well. After I downloaded and changed this driver to use the one provide...

xen on 5.2 32-bit poblematic

I've been running Xen for a couple of years now (we probably have close to 500 physical boxes running Xen). We have around 1000 physical servers that were freed up after they were consolidated on the Xen boxes mentioned above (on 64-bit CentOS). I'm trying to come up with a way to reuse the older ha...

Errors with mono in DomU

I'm having the same problem on CentOS 5.2 32-bit (this problem doesn't exist in 64-bit). 5.2 32-bit running Xen seems to be unstable. Not only am I getting these messages, the domU's also seem to be slow and unstable. Already tried a whole bunch of stuff already mentioned on the web (disable tls, et...

Re: kickstart installation hangs installing rpms

Just an update. It turns out this hardware cannot reliably run the 64-bit flavor (install hangs on various RPMs). The 32-bit flavor of CentOS 5.2 works flawlessly.

kickstart installation hangs installing rpms

First, I've been doing kickstart for quite some time using RedHat/CentOS (and even autoyast for SuSE and kickstart for Ubuntu). Today, I ran into some strange kickstart hangs on CentOS 5.1 and CentOS 5.2 (both 64-bit). The same CentOS 5.1 and 5.2 kick works fine on some fairly new hardware (dual qua...
