Hi, I did an update today on machine that I mount a drive from and it no longer working after the update. Command is below- mount -t cifs //xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/All-Backup-Files /mnt/All-Backup-Files -o username=xxxxx,password=xxxxx I get the following response: Unable to find suitable address. not sure ...

Thank you very much. I was able to get the files that I needed. That server is now dead and deleted.

Hi Trevor,

I have found two files that are using pan instead of pam.
/etc/pam.d/system-auth-ac
/etc/pam.d/password-auth-ac

tonight I will try the rescue disk and see if I can get them changed. Once I get my files that I need that machine will go bye-bye.

Hi Trevor, The problem is I cannot get into root. If I could there would no problem. It won't let me use root or my sudo password. I think automatic login is only reason I get into the system at all. and another funny thing I can not use mysql-workbench on the bad machine but I can use another machi...

I have tried the link solution and it does not work. Selinux is set to passive. If I have to use a rescue disk how do I do that on a vm?
