Re: RHEL 8.0 beta released

Here are the release notes for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.0 Beta: https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_enterprise_linux/8-beta/html-single/8.0_beta_release_notes/ My take on them (in bold what I like, the rest not so much): Stratis, local storage manager, use it to manage RAIDs, Log...

Re: Now that Red Hat is turning Blue...

If you think it is bad that IBM bought RedHat, wait until you see Microsoft buying Canonical and then you tell me what you think about it. Re: Centos 5 and Hyper V

Remove abrt. It's not much use unless you have a support contract with RedHat.

Re: Scaling in CentOS

Hi. I have a a screen resolution of 1920x1080. On my Windows computer I use something called scaling. So I set scaling to 150 %, and everything is 150 % larger. Can this be done in CentOS also? I believe scaling is done by the GTK3 library, on which Gnome depends. Find out what GTK3 version you are...

In your first post you talked about a freeze or hung system.

Now you talk about an "automatic reboot"...

What gives? Those two things are not the same.

Also, do you know about pastebin.com?

Another reason to stick with good old ext4, as Linus intended.

Re: What do these partitions mean and how to expand root partition?

If I have to expand the root FS, what's the best way to proceed? Option 1: add another disk to the system, PV it, add it to the same VG as Root, grow the Root LV, and then grow the Root filesystem. Option 2: reduce the Home filesystem, reduce the Home LV, use the resulting free space in the VG to g...
