When I try set acpi_backlight=vendor than it removes all entries from /sys/class/backlight. Removing it from GRUB returns it back.
Something like tee /sys/class/backlight/acpi_video0/brightness <<< 5 does nothing with backlight. It changes value in those files.

Setting LCD backlight from commandline

Hi.

I Googling last few hours but without success.
I found various solutions but none of them works.

for example as root :
xbacklight -dec 100
RANDR Query Version returned error -1

Is there way I can at least turn Off / On display backlight?

Please Help.
