Install Mondo

HI, I'm struggling to find a version with working public key. Found few links to Techmint and Linux help but all grumble about the key. "wget" ftp://ftp.mondorescue.org/rhel/7/x86_64/mondorescue.repo is latest I've tried. http://ftp.mondorescue.org/rhel/8/x86_64/ doesn't have a "mondorescue.repo. I'...

Rsync cron jobs

Hi Guys, Looking for confirmation or otherwise of my rsync cron jobs. old cron jobs (to mirror data drives to USB backup) data drive ext4 to USB ext4 (seems to have not been backing up spreadsheets that change weekly) rsync -avhP --delete --append --log-file=/root/Documents/name.txt /mnt/data/source...

Re: data drives don't show UUID and unable to mount.

I've just popped the 2 data drives out and connected them to my centos laptop using a usb bridge. The disk utility reports that both are members of a raid and I only have option to format! Looking like the TX140 S1P was a bad purchase as I can only connect drives to the hot swap bays so forced to us...

data drives don't show UUID and unable to mount.

Hi all, my data drives have gone awol :-) I suspect it's problem with the LSI raid thingy. Lost drives 2 data drives (sdb & sdc), unable to remount - no UUID. New build, after struggling to have 3 x independant SATA drives in "Web Bios" (LSI Megaraid). Installed samba and net tools and copied over s...

Re: Migrate dead server to new UPDATE

Re: Migrate dead server to new.

Thanks Trevor, server coming on Monday!
Old server is as up-to-date as you can get, I think. I use Webmin and it lets me know about updates.
I can't really anything now until server comes but will let you know how things turn out.

Migrate dead server to new.

Hi All. Bit of a forced situation, power supply on my (very) old Fujitsu Primergy Econel S2 (quad core 1GB RAM) server has died and it appears that rocking horse droppings are easier to find :-( Decided to replace server with a (used) Fujitsu Primergy TX140 S1p Tower Server i3-3220 3.3GHz 8GB, still...

Re: Systemd & fstab

Thanks Trevor. apcupsd didn't work but NUTS did (after a reboot.) My UPS is a Salicru SPS 700 One, I tried the Blazer_USB driver and that didn't work but the nuts generic one did. I can sleep tonight :-)

Cheers

Jeff
