ovirt on CentOS 7. Dumb question...
I am trying to build an ovirt cluster based off of some older gaming PCs that I am running into trouble on. I have no problems setting these hosts up as virtualization hosts in a stand alone fashion, however I am found a compatibility issue with the CPUs which are AMD Sempron II x4 models (I don't r...

Re: Need help understanding sed.
Sadly, in my environment Puppet isn't necessarily an option. We are using a CM product just not puppet, that passes through local commands / scripts from the CM server to the clients.

Re: Radeon HD 7470/8470 CentOS 7.6
Okay, so everyone is clear with this, to get this to work I followed the following procedure. #1. Trip host into virtual console BEFORE logging into GDM. #2. Sudo to root. #3. Isolate the multi-user.target #4. Create the file /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-radeon.conf Section "Device" Identifier "Radeon" D...

Folks, we can close out this issue. It turns out that this is a known bug with the implementation of Radeon support with the 7.6 updates. Kind of a nasty one, but there it is...
One would hope that they are planning on fixing this!

Re: Radeon HD 7470/8470 CentOS 7.6
Just stumbled into this issue and it's a doozy... Tried the listed work around and no joy.... Video board is an MSI MD2GD3 Radeon 6450 2GB PCI-E. Was getting corrupted video, looked almost like bad video RAM, but this is across multiple systems and cards. Same make and model in a cluster. Also getti...

Really odd behavior, I thought it was hardware at first...
Okay so here's the scoop. I have 2 identically configured systems. I was planning on a cluster but hadn't got there yet. The host I had hooked up started acting funny, let's lay out the hardware first... Mind you, these 2 hosts are 100% hardware identical. So if I had a hardware failure on one, the ...

Re: Unbootable host after updates. Not even getting to grub?
Been there, done that, bought the T shirt. The big issue is, these are UEFI hosts, and documentation on reinstalling grub on UEFI is a bit sketchy... Been looking, but no joy.

Unbootable host after updates. Not even getting to grub?
So last thursday, we were doing normal maintenance activities, patching etc... when 2 nodes of a cluster were patched and sent down for reboot. Neither host came back online. I can access them via iLO and I keep getting sent over to a no OS found prompt and it tries to boot from PXE. I booted to the...
