Re: Cannot SSH to clean CentOS7 box

Are you certain that 192.168.0.105 is this machine? What does ifconfig -a show?

Re: No 32bit packages?

I don't see the issue as black and white as dizwell. RedHat's packaging does what I want (creates a "Server with GUI" without libreoffice) but it does this because of a " bug "… they omit unoconv and libreoffice from their " server " DVD despite them being listed in their comps.xml file as dependenc...

Re: No 32bit packages?

The main decision about the packages to be included on the main DVD was "are they selectable from the installer or are they dependencies of those packages that can be selected from the installer". RedHat's "server" DVD is not constrained by that requirement. Things like unoconv, and its dependencie...

Re: Install.log

Check in /var/log/anaconda specifically the file anaconda.packaging.log should contain that info and more.

Re: How to log processes created?

Would the following work for you?

1. move FooProgram (temporarily) to FooProgram.orig
2. create a script FooProgram containing something like the following:

Code: Select all

#!/bin/bash
echo "$0" "$@" >> /tmp/FooProgram.log
exec $0.orig "$@"

Re: Different behaviours btw Ubuntu & CentOS loopback interf

Interesting. I get the same thing under CentOS 6.5. It "seems" to be using the wrong IP… That looks like a bug to me… but it depends on what the RFCs say. Typically when using the lo interface you are just using the 127.0.0.1 address. IPv6 on has one loopback address… ::1. It's not a whole range lik...

Re: web server issue urgent help

According to the comments in an unmodified httpd.conf file: # # VirtualHost example: # Almost any Apache directive may go into a VirtualHost container. # The first VirtualHost section is used for requests without a known # server name. # With that in mind, why can't you just insert a 3rd virtual hos...

Re: Wordpress and LAMP

I would look in your httpd log files for the entry corresponding to your failed attempt. They may be somewhere else in CentOS 7, but under CentOS 6 they are in: /var/log/httpd . Look in both the access_log and error_log files and see where that leads you. I would also be tempted to try to load your ...

Re: "Server with GUI" environment loads libreoffice?

On deeper investigation I found that the " graphical-server-environment " loads the group " gnome-desktop " which in turn loads the package " unoconv ". " unoconv " has a dependency of much of libreoffice-* . I tried loading a graphical-server-environment from the upstream server DVD. This resulted ...
