Usually the Logitech webcams work fine in Linux, for example the Logitech C310 USB HD Webcam works out-of-the-box in CentOS 7. (I know this from first hand.)

Should I search for it somewhere else or is there a way to generate it? Just use a text editor in the Terminal to generate it, like nano or vi. You could also use a GUI text editor of your choice (like Gedit) to create the file somewhere in your home folder and copy the file to the target location ...

CentOS just makes sure that it will be booted after installation.

You could easily change the UEFI boot order in CentOS with efibootmgr.
