Re: Proftpd Configuraiton for anonymous Uploads
also https://forums.centos.org/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=77345&p=325137&hilit=anonymous#p325137 I may be totally messed or misunderstand this, but it seems you're trying to get your 'anonymous' user to write to system directories in /var (yikes!). Oughtn't they be writing instead to /home/anonymous/{some...

Re: reposync - 403 Errors
As I understand it, the server owners need to fix that as it's an authorization issue.

Re: I can't Boot on CentOS Stream 8
Any chance you have multiple drives and the BIOS update switched the boot to the wrong drive? That would certainly explain the 'sudden disappearance' of your boot entries.

Re: I can't Boot on CentOS Stream 8
If it were me, I might try
Is suspiciously sounds like Windows repair or some other O.S. got involved and messed with the bootup files.
Code: Select all
grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/efi/EFI/centos/grub.cfg

Re: Admittedly off-topic but -RHEL 8.3 Dev license
If I read into that -
Each year there's a new license? Were I to deploy to several machines (including one current remote), I'd have to figure out how to re-enable updates with the new license on each machine?

Re: centos 8 upgrade articles

need remote control cross-platform software
I have an (also-retired) work buddy now in his 80's who uses Windows. My machines are (weekly updated) CentOS 7. Previously, I used TeamViewer to access his (2) machines (a laptop and a desktop). He's not "computer savvy". Teamviewer (free) incorrectly "decided" that I was using their product for co...

Re: image to SSD
Result: Clonezilla worked, but the Windows boot got hosed somehow. A repair with the Windows DVD and several reboots fixed that problem.
Thank you all.
