Re: extremely high memory usage

Hello, I have read that, and I knew that Linux would use big amount memory as file cache to speed up the later access, but the it still does not make too much sense for my case, in my server, even exclude the file cache, the memory usage is still very high "-/+ buffers/cache: 1471 534" we still have...

Re: extremely high memory usage

Hello,

the problem is, the memory usage is around 75%, but we did not find any process took very big memory, that's weird.

[root@localhost root]# free -m
total used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 2006 1894 111 0 134 288
-/+ buffers/cache: 1471 534
Swap: 0 0 0

traffic mirroring

Dear, Recently I suffered a annoyed problem. We have a self-developed tomcat based application which always reported memory leakiness, so we could like to set up another test server to check where the problem is. So we just set up a new server with port mirroring. In the newly set up server, we rece...

Re: use libpcap under a non root account

No I did not, i will have a try. FYI, I just would like to embedded some java codes into our application to capture some packets from our network interface card (NIC), but we need root access to do so which is in violate of our policy so I am checking if there is any way to do that action without ro...
