The network architecture you are using?
The hosted machine OS?
The VM software used?
and type of network used with the vm: NAT/Bridged/Host only.

may be bad keyboard,
what about the network card issues (connect-disconnect-change ip address ...)
some files missing !
connect sometimes goes so so bad !

etc ...

i want to add that usually when i got packet loss, i check the win 7 machine and i see that the CPU was arround 100% ! and i think it was the problem source, may be someone else can more explain this problem.

As already explained by TrevorH, you do not have any rules configured, all the chain are in accepted mode, it means look like you do not have a firewall on your system.

To TrevorH:

Can SELinux block an input connection trying to establish a connection with the pc?
