Hi Trevor,
You are right... I forgot to enable the elrepo repository, so kmod files were not upgraded.
Enabled this repo, and everything works fine after the upgrade of 8.0 to 8.1
Thanks

[Solved] After updating to kernel 4.18.0-147.3.1.el8_1.x86_64 / Centos 8.1 system broken again.
While reistalling my server/nas from Centos 7.7 to 8.0, I had some problems. Using kmod-pata_amd and kmod-forcedeth, made installation of Centos 8.0 a success. Now, after upgrading to Centos 8.1 / kernel 4.18.0-147.3.1.el8_1.x86_64, system is broken. No root-disk. Creating a new installation usb-dri...

Re: rsync qestion
You can use the option --exclude-from=/<path>/backupexclude
In that file you can specify all dirs you want to exclude, one on each line.

Re: Wake on lan does not work anymore in Centos 7
Well, I used ethtool on Centos 6.5 to set my lan card to listen to wol magic packets. I did so in /etc/sysconfig/netword-scripts/ and added ETHTOOL_OPTS="wol g" to ifcfg-eth0 That worked fine in Centos 6.5 As of Centos 7 this option did not work anymore for me. As Gerald stated this could not be an ...

Re: Wake on lan does not work anymore in Centos 7
No, lightman that is all made clear in my intro... It is not a Bios matter, it worked on Centos 6.5, but not after my upgrade to Centos 7. As I stated before, I saw a solution for Fedora, but I am running Centos 7. So your Fedora sulution is no solution for my Centos 7 server! That is why I adressed...

Re: Wake on lan does not work anymore in Centos 7
Gerald and Lightman, Please do open your own threads for questions about WOL issues, and don't drive my question to subjects that are not relevant for my question. Trevor, do you know an alternatve for ethtool in Centos 7? In fedora forums I read about a wol package, version 0.7.1-12, but that is av...
