can't change default keyring password

I'm trying to change the default keyring password in centos 7 gnome gui but it keeps asking me to enter the original password. I've never actually set this password in the first place. I have root access via a console so is there a way to correct this problem with a command?

Re: install lightweight gui on centos 7 server

thanks for the responses here and @TrevorH I did --enablerepo=epel-testing and it worked, MATE desktop installed without the usual atril package error, however the resultant desktop has no menu. Re: CentOS 7 network install on VMWare Workstation problem

I had this problem too - centos 7 really slow on vmware 12.5 - and found that selecting bridged network and 'replicate physical' in the vmware network settings seemed to fix the problem.

Re: centos 6 compilation error installing grive

ok thanks for your advice, I had a feeling maybe centos 6 wasn't modern enough to handle this package. I think I may have to rebuild the machine with centos 7 if epel has grive.

Another app is currently holding the yum lock

I have a centos 6.8 machine that is plagued with this problem. This is a fast machine and I can get yum going again by killing the pid but it's a pain having to do it all the time. What puzzles me is it never used to be like this, it seems to have developed this problem suddenly and I can't work out ...
