I didn't ask is it best option or not. I asked why it's not working.

Client (from same subnet), either Linux or Windows, only able to create 0 size file, then timeout. I turned off firewalld and put SELinux to disabled. No help. I didn't understan...

kernel (?) problems in Centos 5.10
Hello, I have now Centos 5.10 with 2.6.18-371.3.1 kernel. Because of small diskspace, I deleted all old kernels (via yum remove..). Probably something went wrong, because now I noticed several problems, for example: - loopback (lo) interface is missing - raw devices (I need it) don't work, I got an ...

Re: could not ping/access local network
Hi, thanks for reply.
1). VMWare has an virtual switch configured, there are other virtual hosts connected to this vswitch, and they all are ok.
2). Static routes is by design, network admin said.
3). What do you mean by "both network and Network Manage enabled", why need to disable on of them ?

could not ping/access local network
Hi, I installed Centos 6.2 under VMWare. I could not ping/access local network. I could ping default gateway and dns server, though. Also, I could ping Centos host from any computer in local network. I turn off the firewall, but it doesn't help. [url=http://pastebin.centos.org/38740]configuration[/u...
